NUCOR BERKELEY ORDERS TWO NEW TUNDISH PREHEATER UPGRADE PACKAGES

Nucor Steel Berkeley, located in South Carolina, has placed on order with INTECO PTI for two new Tundish Preheater Upgrade Packages.  The New Tundish Preheater packages will include combustion air and natural gas controls lines and include new burners.  In addition, Infrared Temperature sensors will be mounted into the tundish refractory lid to directly measure the refractory temperature in the bottom of the Tundish.  This additional process data will allow better control of the tundish refractory pre-heat. 

All preheater components will be engineered, and fully custom built in our own workshop here in Atlanta, GA.
