Account Manager

Process Engineering – Apply technical and engineering knowledge to engineering and design sales efforts to install and retrofit Process Technology International (PTI) equipment into customer processes, designing and evaluating current Laval nozzles, calculating oxygen and carbon balance within the scrap melting process.  Lead and oversee technical evaluations of customers’ operations and processes to address engineering issues and identify potential improvements. Travel to customer sites to provide engineering-related technical assistance on equipment installation, train customer personnel, and troubleshoot installed PTI equipment. Apply knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, operation, and controls of the steelmaking process and equipment. Use AutoCAD and project management tools and techniques such as scope definition, changes, project scheduling, critical path, estimating, budgeting, reporting, and cost control.  Review and manage sales orders for repair of PTI equipment.  Develop quality control standards, processes, and documentation. Generate ideas for new products and processes based on experience and customer need. Review operational records and reports and sales performance and customer feedback to evaluate technical offerings to improve customer satisfaction and company performance. Apply engineering knowledge and experience in the steel-making industry to prepare spare part repair reports. Oversee spare parts and repair operations of PTI equipment, reporting directly to the CEO. Lead meetings with engineers to discuss technical aspects of customer orders. Manage global key accounts in English-, Portuguese-, and Spanish-speaking countries in South America. Lead research and development projects for new products to be implemented in current and new clients. Design and develop experimental protocols for new equipment designs and models. Travel (10% domestic and 10% international).

 

Requirements:   

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (or Foreign Degree Equivalent).
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese
  • 4 years of experience applying knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, operation and controls of steelmaking process and equipment
  • 4 years of experience in projects financial analysis
  • 4 years of applying knowledge of project management tools and techniques such as scope definition, changes, project scheduling, critical path, estimating, budgeting, reporting and cost control
  • 4 years working with Autodesk Vault
  • 4 years working with Autocad
  • 4 years of experience using MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, etc.
  • 4 years of using interpersonal and communication skills
  • 4 years of experience giving presentations
  • Travel (10% domestic and 10% international)

AUTOMATION CONTROLS ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Control system Design – Design automation systems for heavy duty industrial applications.Familiar with safety codes and regulations.
  • Software development – Advanced knowledge in PLC, HMI, SCADA Industrial software applications.
  • Instrumentation Design and Specification – Strong working knowledge of process automation and instrumentation.
  • Electrical Design – Create electrical drawings, BOMs under supervision and approval of Process Controls Engineer.
  • Field Service – Perform Electrical and mechanical service to industrial equipment, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Field Commissioning – Coordinates equipment installation. Installs and commissions software. Setup and commission Instrumentation. Performs IO testing. Performs equipment commission. Assist with Site Supervision Assistance with Turnkey projects.
  • Systems Documentation – Creates operation manuals and documentation package for equipment. As built and as installed drawing updates. Maintenance manuals and cut sheet assembly. Must provide quality and accurate documentation and communication. Equipment testing and documentations  

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Design and develop control systems for Industrial applications
  • Develop software and Human Interface for the automation systems
  • Working Knowledge of Industrial communication and IO networks
  • Specify the control systems hardware and make cost analysis and sales proposal support
  • Working Knowledge of control valves and instrumentation
  • Domestic and international travel required. Must have valid Driver’s license and Passport
  • Must have Strong PC skills, networking abilities and professional written and verbal communications skills
  • Commissioning and start-up of control systems, including software and hardware.

AUTOMATION FIELD ENGINEER

Responsibilities

  • Field ServicePerform electrical and mechanical service to industrial equipment, instrumentation and control system.  Provide customer technical support and troublehshooting of control systems in an industrial environment.
  • Field Commissioning – Coordinates equipent installaton.  Ability to install, debug and commission software.  Setup and commission instrumentation.  Performs IO testing. Assist with site supervision assistance with turnkey projects.  Provides training to customers.

  • Customer Support – Provides support and problem for equipment, instrumentation and software systems.

  • Experience in automation / controls / computers or similar field

  • Commissioning control and instrumentation systems
  • Working knowledge of control valves and instrumentation

WELDER

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Shop Manager, the responsibilities of the Welder / Fabricator position include fitting and joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules.

DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES\

  • Perform welding duties using stick and wire welder as well as TIG and MIG welding
  • Weld carbon steel, stainless steel and copper components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products.
  • Work with other fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job as needed
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications. Perform final quality checks of other's welding work.
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
  • Inspect and repair equipment to maintain operational functionality as needed
  • Perform a variety of other complicated tasks, as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no direct or continuing supervisory responsibilities. However, there are times that a lead fabricator role is expected and supervision of overall work on a specific job is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blueprints, and/or other printed instructional material in the welding of products or parts.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment.
  • Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goal; not to exceed one written warning.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 + years welding / fabricating
  • Tape Measurement and Blueprint reading skills a must
  • stainless and copper welding a must
